Community Theatre In Madisonville

In 2004, community theatre arrived in Madisonville in a BIG way!
Stephanie Schmidt directed with Jane Colwell as assistant director. Individuals ranging in age from seven years to sixty-“something” participated in auditions for the musical, "Annie". Everyone who wanted to be in the show was included. Before the production took the stage at the end of June, almost one hundred area residents were actively involved in the project as actors, sponsors, or on crews or committees. The show’s three performances received rave reviews.

Mystery Dinner Theatre comes to Madisonville! (June 2008)

2008 saw the Madisonville Community Theatre try something completely new to Madisonville: Mystery Dinner Theatre. On arrival, guests were made to feel like they were attending a wedding reception. All the wait staff were actors, as was the obnoxious D.J., the "bridezilla", and the rest of the crazy cast of characters one normally finds at weddings. During the festivities, amid the hillarious banter of the actors, a murder occured, and the guests helped solve the case over coffee and wedding cake. The delicious meals were prepared by the Madisonville High School Chapter of the FCCLA.
"I'm Getting Murdered in the Morning" took place in Seton Hall, the community center of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, with our fabulous director, Stephanie Schmidt at the helm once again. You'll recognize many of the cast members from our previous shows, but we also had some great new actors join us.
